The
purchase of this piece in either a pendant, key chain, or pin will
benefit HFLW Education Program and those projects we hold dear to our
hearts in Kenya! HFLW has already gifted a percentage of the sales back
to the women at Kazuri Bead Factory in appreciation for their lovely
craftsmanship! Only 199 numbered pieces were made available! Each piece is slightly different and unique, so there are no two alike. 11/2"x11/2", Pendant

HFLW Education Fund involves many aspects from sponsoring students, supporting school programs, transportation for students, school trips and extracirricular activities, boarding school needs, books, school supplies, uniforms, shoes, and medical needs. Counseling and workshops are done for students and families. Computer education , tutoring and career goal counseling are included. "Heart of Kenya" is a way to give continued success to our organization and it's dedication to education!

 | Kazuri - Every Bead Has A Story. Kazuri which means "small and beautiful" in Swahili, began in 1975 as a tiny workshop experimenting in making handmade beads. It's founder Lady Susan Wood started with two African women and soon discovered that there were many other women in the villages around Nairobi, most of whom were single mothers, who were in great need of regular employment. Driven by the desire to provide such opportunities, Kazuri has grown and today they have a large workforce skilled in the manufacture of hand made jewelery and pottery that sells throughout the world! In the developing world of today's Africa, the greatest contribution we can make is to create employment, especially for the disadvantaged and this remains their guiding philosophy.
